my name is simon and I've been playing guitar for the last 14 years. when i first started i had a basic encore strat that i bought as a package deal for £149 brand new. the range for left handed players is limited to mostly strat copy's. most of ebay is strat copy's.
but after searching one day i found a left handed ibanez copy, floyd rose trem and two humbuckers. the price was great and i thought "im aving that". i won the bid £100 when i got it i was thrilled. its a joe satriani style, metallic pink as well! im into the whole glam rock 80's thing. van halen among others. 24 frets, locking nut.
since buying this first model i have bought a white jem copy, again another bargain.
shark tooth inlays, two humbuckers and a single coil, monkey grip, pearl scratch plate, very nice.
i have placed a bid on another guitar listed on ebay and plan to buy the jackson "kelly" and "V" copy.

The Italia Rimini Deluxe
Innovative with design, Italia have made something here that will resonate as a "must have guitar" like the current leaders of the pack like Rickenbacker - and even make them shake a little in their boots because of the exceptional build quality, the two mini humbucker pickups (Wilkinson) have a tone of their own and look more classy than either the hot blade, or covered standard pickups currently fitted to other guitars. I am course scratching the surface here as the designs of the Italia range are the most flambouant I have ever seen! They capture the best from 60's designs and update the concept with better build quality to boot. Taking a look at the rosewood neck is reveals superb double inlays of two types of mother of perl giving the quitar a classy look.
I build guitars for a hobby and sell them in a small way - and of course do not have a great deal of time for making a guitar for myself since I am also a songwriter and have a buzy job. I need not have worried as these guitars really hit the spot. Mine arrived within two days from redplanetguitars who gave me exeptional service at a good price. The guitar even arrived in tune, yes all 12 strings, and this guitar hasn't even got locking machine heads but Italia's own brand.
I now have both the Rimini and the Marenello (6 string) I recomend both and thank Ross and Liz at redplanetguitars for help and service. |
